Cluster Network Query

Hi

I have a Dell Powerstore 1200T, we are using it for VMware connected to two switches and using iSCSI for the storage network

Its currently cabled from ports 0 and 1 on both nodes, these ports are bonded. I have been advised that we shouldn't use these ports as these are for the cluster ports and we should uncable one of these and plug into port 2 so that port 0 and port 2 are in use

If we only have the one Powerstore unit (Node A and Node B) with no plans to ever expand do we need the cluster network cabled up? If we do need to keep the cluster network will it need port ports cabled up still?

Thanks

It is not needed if you only have one device.

Hi Josh

Thanks for your reply. I have been thru all the documentation I could find and none of them actually explain if the cluster network is needed for a 1 device setup

Thanks
David
